Great Lakes Ice

It's been a pretty cold winter here in Michigan! One of the effects of all those cold temps is the formation of the ice on our Great Lakes. With warmer, windy air arriving the ice gets broken up and pushed around the lakes and rivers. This weekend, winds from the east piled up the ice along our shorelines, which makes for unique and fascinating ice formations. Here are a few examples of the ice along the shore with the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club in the distance. Cheers!
